Day to Day

The Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Business Partners will manage Indeed’s global team of DEIB Business Partners coordinating daily program management and guiding the team in delivering impactful initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align DEIB efforts with broader organizational goals, fostering a culture where everyone feels respected and valued. Your responsibilities will include setting priorities for the DEIB team, overseeing project execution, and providing mentorship to Business Partners. Regular engagement with employees and leaders at all levels will allow you to incorporate diverse perspectives into strategies, ensuring continuous improvement. You’ll monitor, analyze, and report on DEIB metrics, keeping the Senior Director and other leaders informed of our progress toward goals.

The Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Business Partners operate as trusted advisors, embedded deeply in the business, consulting on the needs of the organization and designing relevant solutions. They work closely with executives, senior management and other HR functions (HRBP, HR Analytics, Talent Attraction, Employee Development, Total Rewards, etc.) to provide subject matter expertise, overlay a lens for equity and inclusion in business processes, improve team dynamics, and design as well as execute on initiatives to drive the organization toward progress on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging goals. They also engage with Indeed’s enterprise clients by providing guidance and recommendations for inclusive processes, products and services leveraging Indeed’s platform and thought leadership on the various topics of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of DEIB Business Partners, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to maximize team impact and performance
  • Work alongside the Head of DEIB to develop and operationalize strategy that supports progress toward 2030 representation goals
  • Serve as a member of the HRBP leadership team, driving operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability for the BP group
  • Establish solid relationships across the broader organization to establish a cohesive approach to meeting the needs of clients and advise and support the creation of executive communications on DEIB topics.
  • Represent the DEIB team internally and externally, serving as the subject matter expert on all DEIB-related topics with data-based insights
  • Develop innovative approaches to implementing initiatives that create and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging and support our representation goals
  • Conduct analysis, leveraging quantitative, qualitative, and evidence-based best practices to establish the efficacy of DEIB initiatives and develop hypotheses for future trends that will impact our inclusion efforts and goals.

Skills/Competencies

  • 7+ years in a DEIB-focused role OR in roles partnering closely with DEIB partners/teams with experience in program management, excellent leadership, and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to lead, guide, and develop team members
  • Deep experience working with executives in client-facing, consulting roles (s)
  • Proven project management skills, with a successful track record of designing and executing impactful DEIB initiatives
  • Proficient in data analysis, developing insights that influence the strategy and lead to business results with experience tracking and reporting on DEIB success metrics and KPIs while delivering results through others
  • Expert-level awareness of macro and micro DEIB topics such as systems of oppression, social power dynamics, racial consciousness, and the ability to dismantle structural barriers
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships, influence key partners, and deliver results in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with skilled facilitation. Demonstrated ability to have effective conversations with an executive audience while navigating difficult topics

Salary Range Transparency

US Remote 144,000 - 216,000 USD per year

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
