Director, Eucan Oncology Alliances

Job Description

Our Market Access team monitor population demographics and develop solutions to give patients access to our medicines. We act as both educators and advocates for our products, processes, and practices that help us revolutionize how our medicines create value in society.

We are currently seeking a Director of EUCAN (Europe & Canada) Oncology Alliances who will be primarily, responsible for adapting and implementing strategies, projects and market support to our company alliance within the (Anti-body Drug Conjugate) ADC-alliance portfolio. In addition, you will manage HHI (Human Health International) market access relations within this alliance as outlined below.

The role will require a strong understanding of the oncology market and shifting global payer environment, and experience in market access, pricing and launch planning. Given the highly matrixed nature of this role, experience working in an alliance is a plus!

The candidate selected for this position will need to coordinate, communicate and collaborate effectively, leading cross-functional initiatives (in concert with alliance management, commercial teams, but also including clinical, regulatory, evidence generation, and medical affairs teams) as well as collaborate with global & local teams, AND collaborate with external partners within ways of working and focused on compliance with legal requirements. In doing so, the candidate will deliver a HHI regional view on access and payer feedback to inform Key deliverables.

Key deliverables will be to work with value implementation plans (V&I) and Global Plan for Access (GPA) to deliver and execute regional access plans, oversee, and present access assumptions and tactical plans of HHI regional financial forecast, as well as regional access-related summaries for alliance to JCC (Joint Commercial Committee) and JSC (Joint Steering Committee).

Other deliverables will be to provide regional input to the global access and pricing team on the internal price strategy and forecasts that align to the GPA (and in compliance with contract and legal terms), and to articulate this vision and these objectives clearly to internal stakeholders and senior leaders. The selected candidate is expected to operate with integrity and transparency, as well as respect and adherence for the laws and regulations that govern our industry and our company policies.

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage HHI and EUCAN Market Access relations for this alliance ensuring seamless partnership and execution.
  • Work closely with the alliance partners with established Ways of Working and in compliance with alliance contract and legal constraints. Build upon established ways of working (as needed) and implement in partnership with Global Market access and internal collaborators.
  • Provide input on market access & reimbursement needs for new clinical trials, including launch indication considerations, and indication expansions.
  • Provide region specific input to alliance partner and /or global company team on trial designs, access strategies, tactical plans including HTA (Health Technology Assessments) consultations.
  • Work with lead(s) from Outcomes Research (OR) to provide market access input into evidence plan generation. Engaging with OR on budget impact modeling and clinical economic models, when needed.
  • Coordinate with commercial colleagues to lead critical access pillars throughout commercial plans and senior management reviews, plan budgets and track commercial launch/competitive landscapes & clinical development progress.
  • Lead and/or support payer market research to inform access strategy and tactical plans.
  • Competitive reimbursement tracking to inform on the impact of competitor reimbursement positions and tactics, which impact access/pricing strategies.
  • Respecting compliance with alliance contract and legal constraint, work with pricing colleagues to provide strategy awareness and support materials, as price responsibilities transition near launch.
  • Support internal business case development and Sr. Leader reviews in relation to alliance products.
  • Support Commercial and Finance in Alliance products forecasting. Oversee, and ensure alignment of access/tactical plans between regional and global forecast.
  • Partner with Global Market access and relevant cross functional for any further business need topics related to this alliance.

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, health economics, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in market access, health economics, outcomes research, or pricing in the pharmaceutical industry, incl. minimum 5 years of Oncology related experience.
  • Proven track record of success in executing access strategies.
  • Evidence of strategic and analytical thought.
  • Strong project management and implementation/operational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong commercial orientation and business acumen
  • Proven ability to establish influential relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to interpret information across customers to influence external decision-makers.
  • Experience in leading with informal authority, managing through ambiguity, and ability to communicate clearly in a matrixed environment.
  • A contemporary perspective of the business environment that enables a fresh outlook to the company’s business model and creative approach to meet future demands.

The role can be based in any of the European countries, ideally in Switzerland.
