Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Act as finance interface to the Management as well as to external project partners and funding agencies and contribute in contract negotiations with project partners in funding consortia
- Be responsible for the Forecast and target setting process as well as all relevant processes and tools
- Lead and develop the Funding controlling team
- Be responsible for the funding portfolio to establish business casesas well as for the controlling of all funding projects
- Be responsible for conducting external funding audits
- Contact person for the central public affairs & authorities team for the funding strategy with national and EU agencies
- Be responsible for rules and processes as well as improvements regarding funding administration
- Prepare monthly KPI reporting for Management, including forecasting and actual deviation management

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- A degree in Business Administration, Physics, Mathematics -preferably with a focus on controlling - or comparable knowledge
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Finance and Controlling with a deep know how in different financial areas
- Detailed knowledge of EU and national funding regulations and landscape
- Proven experience and knowledge in conducting external funding audits (e.g. project audits) and in collaborating with external auditor parties
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
