KONE Corporate Financial Controlling is the guardian of KONE’s financial compliance including group reporting, global record-to-report process and financial controlling of KONE’s Finnish legal entities. Group Reporting oversees KONE’s global reporting and consolidation processes and the preparation of consolidated financial disclosures under IFRS working closely with management, business lines, country organizations and global functions supporting them by driving a financially sound business direction and providing relevant intelligence for decision-making.
We are now looking for a Director to join our Group Reporting team.
In this role, you will lead a team of financial reporting professionals, ensuring quality in IFRS reporting and driving continuous development in our financial reporting processes and infrastructure to support the needs of a dynamic, listed company environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial reporting requirements for a listed company.
- Oversee group accounting and reporting policies and monitor changes in IFRS and regulatory reporting standards, advising leadership on potential impacts.
- Take business ownership of the consolidation system and drive the development of reporting processes and tools.
- Coordinate with operative unit and subsidiary controllers to ensure consistent financial reporting and oversee global audit process.
- Support strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, disposals, and complex transactions, from a financial reporting perspective.
- Lead a team of financial reporting professionals ensuring personnels professional growth.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a manager/leadership role in a listed company environment or audit.
- Strong expertise in IFRS and external reporting for public companies.
- Solid experience in group consolidation across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Solid experience with financial systems and reporting tools and willingness to embrace new technology.
- Proven track record of leading professional teams and ability to collaborate with a problem solving and execution mindset.
- Willingness for continuous learning in an ever-changing financial controlling and reporting landscape.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in M&A is considered as an asset.
- M.Sc. in accounting/finance or another relevant field.
The position will be tailored based on the selected candidate’s profile. While we are working in a hybrid model, regular presence in the Espoo headquarters is essential.
