Summary:
Zimmerman Metals is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and results-oriented Business Development Director to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly build a rapport, establish trust, and develop business relationships to expand the company’s network. Furthermore, the candidate will have a proven track record of success in identifying, tracking, and developing new business opportunities and building relationships with key decision-makers. They will also have a good understanding of the construction and manufacturing industries from direct experience and be able to articulate our value to potential clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Weekly Estimating meetings
- Weekly Leadership meetings
- Regular customer engagement
- Cold calling potential leads
- Opportunity tracking
- Strategic CAPEX & OPEX planning meetings with Executive Leadership
- Develop goals and action plans.
- Host Shop Tours (clients, vendors, schools, etc.)
- Customer Engagement Events (general contractors, companies, erectors, vendors, etc.)
- Regular touch-point meetings
- Teambuilding events (Charity golf, clay shooting, Top Golf, etc.)
- Workforce pipeline development
- Social media content development and management
- Company Branded Gear (swag) Management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales.
- 10+ years of experience in steel construction as a steel fabricator, steel erector, or GC level experience required.
- Proven track record of success in identifying, qualifying, and closing deals.
- Strong understanding of the construction/manufacturing/machining industry
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to quickly build relationships with key decision-makers.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
