Job Summary
The Director of Energy Solutions – Canada is responsible for leading the Canadian Energy Solutions team and driving sales growth, profitability, and strategic market development across Canada. This role oversees sales strategy, pipeline development, customer engagement, and team performance to achieve company objectives.The Director will work closely with internal leadership, external stakeholders, and the U.S. sales organization to align North American sales strategy, expand into new market verticals, and support long-term business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the sales strategy for Canada in alignment with company growth and profitability objectives.
Lead the Canadian Energy Solutions team to achieve sales targets, margin goals, and annual budget objectives.
Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline to support sustained business growth.
Oversee the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and closing.
Coach, support, and develop internal and outside sales representatives, regional sales managers, and channel partners.
Review proposals, quotations, and RFP/RFQ responses to ensure accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness.
Collaborate with U.S. sales leadership to align strategy and maintain continuity across North America.
Work cross-functionally with project management, service, and technical teams to ensure accurate project scoping, costing, and successful handoff after sale.Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market verticals, incentives, and partnership opportunities across Canada.
Maintain accurate CRM data, sales forecasts, and project status reporting.Represent 2G Energy at customer meetings, site visits, and industry events.
Support contract negotiations to ensure appropriate commercial terms and profitability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of sales leadership experience, preferably in CHP, distributed energy, or power generation.
- Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Strong leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and commercial negotiations.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, forecasting, and sales analytics.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel within Canada and occasionally internationally.
- Valid driver’s license and passport required

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel regularly to customer sites, meetings, and industry events.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including walking industrial sites and construction areas.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers and mobile devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, in group settings, and via phone or video conferencing.
- Visual and auditory ability to review documents, presentations, and participate in meetings.
- Occasional ability to lift or carry materials up to 25 pounds, if required.
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with frequent travel to customer sites, project locations, and industry events.
- Site visits may include exposure to industrial environments such as mechanical equipment, noise, temperature variations, and construction conditions.
- Interaction with internal teams, customers, partners, and stakeholders in both professional and field settings.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and active job sites.
Pay: $75,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
