Director Of Supportive Services

The Director of Supportive Services will guide new clients into housing, adhering to the principles of Housing First, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and strengths-based case management. They will oversee and collaborate with community agencies to develop and expand supportive services programming for both onsite and offsite residents, including physical and mental health services, cultural enrichment, entitlement benefits, and workforce access. The Director will lead the Supportive Services department, managing case managers and peer specialists to ensure residents overcome barriers to service access. They will be responsible for meeting reporting requirements from funding and governmental agencies by tracking resident needs and maintaining timely communications. This role will establish partnerships with relevant organizations, ensuring that all teams complete necessary training. Additionally, the Director must demonstrate empathy, strong leadership, and organizational skills while remaining available for after-hours organizational needs.

Ø Key Responsibilities:

· Navigate new clients into housing with a willingness to adhere to principles of:

o Housing first

o Harm reduction

Trauma-informed care

o Strengths-based case management

· Oversee and successfully partner with community agencies to expand and develop internal supportive services programming that supports the overall quality of life for Temenos CDC onsite and offsite residents. These programs consist of:

o Physical health services

o Mental and behavioral health services

o Cultural and social enrichment services

o Entitlement benefits

o Short-term and long-term access to the community workforce

· Oversee the Supportive Services department consisting of onsite and offsite teams which work together to provide residents with the support by aiding the overcoming various barriers that might impede access to services

o Case Managers (Onsite/offsite)

o Peer Specialists (Onsite/offsite)

· The Director of Supportive Services implements the reporting requirements set in place to continue the support from funding/and or governmental agencies. The reporting is based on the following:

o Resident-needs assessments and reporting to internal and external agencies.

o Logging and tracking all communications and reporting regarding residents in a timely manner and in-line with reporting requirements set by funding/governmental agencies.

· Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations and individuals through collaboration and program training. This position is responsible for ensuring that all supportive services teams also complete the necessary program training.

· Other duties assigned.

Ø Qualifications:

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; B.A (or equivalent experience) in social work or related field preferred.

· Experience: Three to four years in a similar role. Three to five years of experience interacting with demographics struggling with mental health and/or substance use challenges, along with a demonstrated commitment to recovery, preferred.

· Certifications: Completion of a recognized Case Management training program is highly preferred.

Ø Skills Required:

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team while leading a multi-department team.

· Empathy and understanding of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Reliable transportation and the ability to be mobile after hours, due to organizational needs.

· Willingness to adhere to “The Principles of Harm Reduction & Housing first”.

· Advanced familiarity with technology and reporting.

· Maturity to extend self to clients in need for emotional support but also draw clear boundaries for clients.

· Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM but availability in the morning, evenings and weekends is expected due to organizational needs.

Ø Working Conditions May Include:

· May involve working in various community settings, including clients' homes, treatment facilities, and community centers.

· May work with clients who are experiencing mental or physical disabilities, some of whom may occasionally display verbally or physically aggressive behavior. It is essential that the candidate knows how to manage these situations with empathy, while also setting and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries to ensure the safety and well-being of both the resident and them.

· Flexibility in hours may be required to accommodate client needs.

Ø Compensation:

· Benefits include 403b, vision, health, dental insurance with limited AD&D

· PTO (2 days per month as earned)

· Cell-Phone stipend

· Mileage reimbursement

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
