Position Overview:
We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic Director of Transfer Agency Services to lead our Transfer Agency business in Luxembourg and grow our global transfer agency services. This role is critical to overseeing Luxembourg operations, driving revenue through new service offerings, onboarding new clients, and expanding our market presence while ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of private markets, operational excellence, and a proven ability to build and scale innovative, revenue-generating services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Authorised Manager of our (to be) licensed PSF with overall responsibility for UCI administration tasks and oversight of any outsourced activities
- Revenue Growth and Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, including launching new services and securing new clients for transfer agency services globally.
- Build a pipeline of opportunities to onboard new logos and expand market share.
- Partner with sales and business development teams to position transfer agency services as a key offering.
Core Transfer Agency Delivery requirements:
- Lead all aspects of transfer agency services, including:
- Maintaining the investor register: Accurate record-keeping of investors and their holdings.
- Cash flow management: Manage payment processing into and out of funds.
- Investor reporting: Deliver timely and transparent updates on investor stakes.
- Ensure smooth execution of securities transactions, including issuance, transfer, and cancellation.
- Develop robust processes to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee intra-group outsourcing and ensure all tasks are being completed to an appropriate standard in compliance with our controls framework
Leadership and Strategic Vision:
- Support the process of scaling a high-performing transfer agency team that delivers on business objectives.
- Drive alignment with the broader organisation, ensuring transfer agency services integrate seamlessly with other offerings.
- Educate and collaborate across teams to maximise the commercial potential of the function.
Client Service and Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert guidance and tailored solutions.
- Act as a trusted partner to clients, ensuring their needs are met with excellence.
- Proactively resolve inquiries and deliver exceptional client experiences.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Stay ahead of Luxembourg and global regulations to ensure transfer agency operations meet all legal and compliance standards in our key jurisdictions.
- Conduct audits, implement controls, and maintain a proactive approach to managing risks.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and oversee timely reporting.
Technology and Innovation:
- Drive the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance service delivery and operational scalability.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tools and systems that meet evolving client and business needs.
- Continuously identify opportunities for efficiency and service improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Extensive experience in transfer agency operations with a track record of driving revenue and business growth.
- Strong expertise in private markets, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a commercial environment.
- Exceptional client service and relationship management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and operational efficiency.
- Technologically savvy, with experience leveraging tools to optimize performance.
- An accountancy or audit background is beneficial.
