Director Of Worship Music

P/T Director of Music: St Peter’s Lutheran Church (1422 Church Rd, Pen Argyl, PA 18072) is seeking a part-time Director of Music. This candidate will coordinate the music life of our community in coordination with the Pastor and Worship & Music Committee, direct our choir(s) in rehearsal and worship, and lead our worship’s musical life as an organist and pianist for two Sunday morning services as well as special services throughout the year (Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.) Expectations are for approximately 20-25 hours/week, with salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications upon hiring. Qualifications include prior work experience, proficiency in playing organ, piano, and keyboard, and strong choral conducting skills. Candidates should also have familiarity with executing a variety of musical genres and the ability to incorporate them in a worship setting, possess excellent communication, planning, and executive skills, and show commitment to the mission and values of the Christian church and the larger work of the E.L.C.A.
