About the Position

We are looking for a Director of Operations and Compliance to join our leadership team and help shape the foundation of FLEXECHARGE’s next growth phase. This is a high-impact role where your strategic thinking, structured mindset, and collaborative leadership will directly influence how we scale across markets.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with a cross-functional leadership team across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Finance. Your focus will be to design and implement scalable systems, lead legal and financial operations, and ensure we grow in a compliant, efficient, and values-aligned way.

This position is especially well-suited for someone who has navigated the fast-paced world of scale-ups, understands how to bring clarity to complexity, and is excited by the opportunity to build structure and impact from the ground up. What you’ll do

Organisational Structuring & Strategic Operations

• Design and implement a scalable organisational structure tailored to a fast-growing company
• Define roles, responsibilities, and governance frameworks that promote clarity, inclusion, and accountability
• Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, supporting decision-making and leading initiatives such as OKRs, audits, and risk management
• Improve internal systems and policies to strengthen collaboration and operational resilience

Operational Excellence & Financial Controlling

• Standardise and document business processes across teams (Sales, Product, Finance, HR)
• Identify and implement systems that drive automation, visibility, and efficiency
• Lead financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Ensure finance supports the full business and customer lifecycle with real-time, decision-ready data

Legal, Contracting & Risk Management

• Oversee all commercial and legal contracts with customers, partners, and suppliers
• Build contract workflows that balance speed, risk management, and commercial agility
• Align legal frameworks with company strategy and long-term customer value
• Collaborate with external legal advisors and ensure internal processes remain compliant and future-proof

Compliance, Certifications & Governance

• Lead organisational compliance across standards like GDPR, ISO 27001, and ESG reporting
• Embed compliance into day-to-day operations, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability
• Drive audit readiness and manage certification programs that build trust with partners and stakeholders
• Support inclusive governance practices as we grow into new markets and segments

Ideally, we’re looking for

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Operations, Law, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a scale-up or high-growth environment
• Demonstrated success in building operational structure, managing compliance, and leading cross-functional processes
• Experience in managing legal frameworks and financial operations is highly valued

Skills & Mindset

• Systems thinker with an eye for detail and an ability to zoom out and align strategy
• Strong communication skills — you bring people together across disciplines
• Comfortable making decisions with limited information, and pragmatic about building what’s needed without over-engineering
• Passionate about creating environments where people, ideas, and processes can thrive

Languages

• Fluency in English is required. Danish or German is a plus.
