Salary
From $38.00 per hour plus Superannuation and applicable SCHADS Award penalty rates and allowances.
Classification and remuneration will be determined in accordance with the SCHADS Award based on qualifications, experience and the inherent requirements of the role.

EddenRose Community Services is a registered NDIS provider expanding specialist Supported Independent Living (SIL) services across Northern Melbourne.
We are building a professional workforce to support adults who benefit from structured living environments, consistent routines and multidisciplinary support.
Our services are designed to support participants living with acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability and functional support needs where structured supports promote independence, wellbeing and long-term stability.

About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support adults within Supported Independent Living (SIL), participants' homes and community settings.
Working alongside Team Leaders, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Registered Nurses (where applicable), allied health professionals and Support Coordinators, you will deliver supports in accordance with participant support plans, Positive Behaviour Support Plans (where applicable), organisational policies and delegated clinical guidance.
Participant support requirements vary depending on individual goals, approved NDIS funding, assessed risks and organisational service capability.
Employees are expected to work within the scope of their role, qualifications, training, assessed competency and delegated authority at all times.
Participants You May Support
Participants may include adults living with:
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Intellectual disability
- Psychosocial disability
- Cognitive impairment
- Functional support needs
- Participants transitioning from hospital or other care settings into community-based supports
Supports are delivered only where they align with participant goals, assessed needs, identified risks and EddenRose's service capability.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Personal care and activities of daily living
- Community participation and transport
- Supporting independent living skills
- Supporting structured daily routines
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies where applicable
- Assisting with medication in accordance with organisational policies and scope of practice
- Supporting appointments and therapeutic programs
- Accurate progress notes and documentation
- Incident reporting and risk escalation
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Promoting participant dignity, choice and independence
Our Service ModelBehaviour Support
Support participants in accordance with participant support plans, Positive Behaviour Support Plans (where applicable), organisational policies and the NDIS Practice Standards.
Clinical & Allied Health Collaboration
Work collaboratively with Behaviour Support Practitioners, Registered Nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, Support Coordinators and other professionals to promote safe, coordinated and consistent outcomes.
Structured Environment
Deliver supports within Supported Independent Living (SIL), participants' homes and community settings where structured routines, consistency and proactive support strategies promote participant wellbeing and independence.
Professional Practice
Maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively, identify and report incidents or changes in participant presentation, maintain professional boundaries and perform duties within the scope of your role, training and assessed competency.

Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Experience supporting adults with acquired brain injury, autism, intellectual disability, psychosocial disability or functional support needs.
- Experience within disability support, Supported Independent Living (SIL), mental health, rehabilitation or community services.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- Reliable motor vehicle where transport forms part of the role.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Current Right to Work in Australia.
