Dispatcher/ Freight broker

Looking for Dispatcher/ Freight broker individual in the Transportation industry.

We are asset based and a full service 3 PL company. Our Customers range from large national companies to small independent businesses. We are looking for the right individual who will come and grow with us.

Education and Experience

• Retail experience necessary

• Knowledge of computers and relevant software application

• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify transportation balance needs in order to obtain new customers in various lanes.

• Manage multiple customer shipments simultaneously.

• Utilize online load boards to match freight with appropriate carriers.

• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability.

• Track brokered loads to ensure timely delivery.

• Procure carriers, negotiate rate contracts, and measure delivery performance.

• Provide pricing and lane capacity for potential future business opportunities.

• Timely respond to all load opportunities with pricing and availability.

• Maintain partnerships with outside carrier base to support the demand for transportation services.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Min 1 years freight brokerage experience along with own customer base

• Takes initiative, is proactive in their work, and results-oriented.

• Strong Negotiation Skills, Positive attitude and assertive

• Enjoys working in a fast pace environment and not giving up

• Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

• Strong experience and thorough knowledge of DOT and FMCSA

• Excellent customer service abilities with a natural desire to provide exceptional service and build strong relationships with customers and carriers

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Approachable, positive demeanor with a hands-on and team-oriented work style.
