Dispatcher – Logistics Manager

Tailor Your Resume for this Job

Don’t Apply If…

  • You need handholding, constant direction, or a to-do list to take action
  • You freeze under pressure, or avoid making calls when plans change
  • You’re uncomfortable in a cooler/dock environment or unwilling to pitch in physically
  • You prefer “done fast” over “done right” — precision matters as much as speed

About the Role

This isn’t just dispatching trucks. This is about owning the daily flow of a fast-moving supply chain that keeps eggs, supplies, and people moving across a complex operation.

As Dispatcher / Logistics Manager, you are the nerve center. Ten drivers, multiple tractors and reefers, cooler inventory, staging lanes, shop coordination, farmers, and the office — all of it flows through you. Your job is to bring clarity, control, and speed to what would otherwise be chaos.

If you thrive under pressure, communicate with precision, and can keep operations moving without excuses, you’ll be at home here.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan the Day: Build and release the daily plan for 10 drivers — tractors, reefers, routes, and backhauls.
  • Run the Play: Live-track loads, update ETAs, resolve delays, and call audibles with minimal downtime.
  • Sync with Farmers: Confirm egg and supply counts to keep loads accurate.
  • Coordinate Equipment: Partner with the shop to schedule tractor downtime, swaps, and repairs.

Cooler & Staging

  • Keep finished-goods inventory accurate
  • Create pick lists, stage by lane/stop, and verify counts/labels/seals
  • Prevent mis-loads through tight checks and staging discipline
  • Jump in on the dock when needed — forklift/pallet jack

Tools You’ll Use

  • Motive – ELD, live-tracking, preventative maintenance tracking
  • Excel – prebuilt routing, inventory, and reporting templates

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years in dispatch, logistics, or route planning (cold-chain/food industry preferred)
  • Comfortable with Motive (or similar ELD/fleet system)
  • Strong spreadsheet skills; you can update, track, and report without needing help
  • Clear, direct communicator across drivers, shop, plant, and office; calm under pressure
  • Comfortable in cooler/dock environments; able to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
  • Plus, not required: Spanish bilingual, forklift certification, prior CDL or driving experience

Schedule & Pay

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (primary on-call window during these hours)
  • Compensation: $20 – $25/hour + overtime eligibility
  • Benefits:
  • 50% employer-paid healthcare
  • 401(k) with 5% match
  • Accruing PTO
  • 6 paid holidays

Results That Matter

  • Every driver leaves on time with the right load
  • ETAs are accurate and communicated — no surprises
  • Cooler inventory and staging are precise — no mis-loads, no missing pallets
  • Equipment downtime is coordinated; loads don’t stop when trucks do
  • The COO, plant, and office stay synced on POs, shipments, and performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k)
  • Dental insurance
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Relocation assistance
  • Vision insurance

Work Location: In person
