Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optician to join our team. The successful candidate must be licensed in province of employment in good standing. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, providing expert advice on lens options, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical services and retail sales, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their needs and preferences.
• Conduct measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring accurate fittings.
• Provide information on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to enhance customer experience.
• Maintain an organized and clean work environment, including the optical laboratory area.
• Process orders for eyewear and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to provide informed recommendations.

Skills

• Proficient in terminology related to eye care and optical services.
• Strong retail sales skills with a proven track record of meeting sales goals.
• Knowledge of optical products and services, including lenses and frames.
• Retail experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
• Strong organizational, communication, customer service and problem solving skills
• Familiarity with sales software is beneficial for managing customer transactions and records.

Duties

• Reception (greeting customers, phones, email)
• Office Administration & direct billing
• Eyewear selection, fitting, dispensing and repairs
• Contact Lens fitting
• Opening, Closing and maintaining a clean and respectful environment .

Pay: From $67,600.00 per year
