We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Optician/Optometric Assistant to join a growing health care team specializing in Optometry. Our organization is local, independent, and a family owned and operated Optometry practice.

Job responsibilities:

• Exceeding customer’s expectation by creating a positive experience during their visit to the office

• Dispense, adjust, repair, and trouble shoot eyeglasses

• Advise customers taking them through the process to find the perfect pair of glasses

• Conduct final quality assurance inspections in-office to ensure that the product we deliver meets the required specifications

• Perform daily administrative duties, including, but not limited to, booking appointments, answering the phone.

• Ensure professional and friendly interactions with patients, staff and customers.

Requirements:

• You have a flexible schedule with the ability to work evening and Saturday hours

• 4 to 5days a week

• You have previous optical, professional experience and mature approach to customer service

• You have great manual dexterity and attention to detail

• You are proficient in the use of ophthalmic instruments such as, adjustment tools, lensometer (manual and automated), lens trial sets, and low vision aids

• You have excellent communication skills and great problem-solving skills
