Distribution Supervisor

Join our CARTERS Distribution Centre team in Mt Wellington and play a pivotal part in our drive to deliver a consistently reliable level of service to our trade customers. As the Distribution Supervisor you will be responsibilie for planning and controlling the despatch of bulk products, coordinating multiple vehicles and drivers ensuring a timely, accurate and high level service while maintaining health and safety standards.

The key functions for this role includes:

  • Managing the loading and dispatch of customer orders ensuring we deliver a quality service and products on time
  • Prioritizing and scheduling truck deliveries to site
  • Overseeing the operation of our distribution function
  • Proactively manage driver staff performance
  • Customer Service and working closely with our Auckland branch network
  • Drive a strong Health & Safety culture
  • Occasional heavy lifting

The foundations to this role will see you demonstrating the below skill set:

  • A motivated and conscientious team player who takes pride in exceeding customer expectations
  • A skilled administrator who is adept at managing their time, with proven ability to work well under pressure and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • A true knack for detail, great communication skills and a flexible approach to your work
  • Happy to take a hands-on approach as some heavy lifting may be required
  • Computer literate and not afraid to learn new systems and processes
  • A current F endorsement (forklift) license and OSH accredited forklift certificate would be advantageous
  • Building/Trade industry experience & exposure very helpful
