Docket Checker - Bray
Purpose of Position
To ensure every truck leaves the yard with the correct materials, correctly documented, and fully verified against the customer order.
Abide by all company policies and procedures with regard to Health & Safety, Dispatch Accuracy and Customer Service.
Main Areas of Responsibility
· Checking loaded materials against customer delivery dockets and loading sheets
· Verifying quantities, descriptions, sizes and product codes
· Identifying and reporting discrepancies before dispatch
· Conducting final vehicle inspections prior to departure
· Maintaining accurate dispatch and verification records
· Ensuring documentation is complete and authorised
· Communicating with drivers, yard operatives and supervisors
· Working to dispatch deadlines and operational schedules
Health & Safety
· Follow all health and safety procedures while working in yard environments
· Wear required PPE at all times
· Report unsafe loading practices or overloaded vehicles immediately
· Ensure compliance with transport, company and customer requirements
· Report accidents and near misses immediately
Dispatch & Customer Service
· Check all loads before truck departure
· Ensure every item loaded is listed on the customer docket
· Resolve discrepancies with yard staff before dispatch
· Sign off and record checked and verified loads
· Ensure timely dispatch without unnecessary delays
· Maintain accurate and legible documentation
· Assist in improving dispatch accuracy and customer satisfaction
Documentation / Dispatch Control
· Confirm customer dockets are complete and legible
· Ensure amendments are properly authorised and documented
· Attach supporting documentation where required
· Maintain filing systems and electronic records
· Monitor recurring loading or documentation errors and escalate when necessary

· Communication Skills – Communicating discrepancies and operational issues clearly and promptly.
· Time Management – Prioritising checks efficiently to avoid unnecessary dispatch delays.
· Reliability & Accountability – Demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility for dispatch accuracy.
· Adaptability – Ability to work under pressure in a busy dispatch environment.
