Main Responsibility
A Document Verification Officer checks and verifies customer documents to ensure they are correct, genuine, and complete before processing banking services like account opening, loans, KYC, and other financial services.
ð§ Key Job Responsibilities
1ï¸â£ KYC Document Verification
Check Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport
Verify customer identity and address
Ensure documents match bank records
Follow RBI KYC guidelines
2ï¸â£ Account Opening Verification
Verify Savings Account / Current Account forms
Check signature and personal details
Ensure all required documents are attached
Approve or send for correction
3ï¸â£ Loan Document Checking
Verify Salary Slip, Bank Statement, IT Return
Check property documents (for home loan)
Ensure proper documentation before loan approval
Coordinate with loan department
4ï¸â£ Data Entry & Record Maintenance
Update customer details in bank system
Maintain document records in office
Scan and upload documents
Maintain confidentiality
5ï¸â£ Compliance & Accuracy
Follow bank rules and policies
Avoid fraud and fake documents
Report suspicious cases
Maintain proper documentation process
