The role involves providing Dog Warden services, enforcing animal control legislation. Candidates need to work effectively within a regulatory framework and engage with the general public regarding animal welfare. Respond to day to day queries and complaints from the general public regarding to a variety of animal welfare and dog warden matters, stray dogs, incidents of dog attack, suspected animal cruelty or neglect. Driving a fleet van to specified locations to cater for any incidents, patrolling parks for any dogs not being handled correctly, calling to homes to check for Dog Licences, handing out fines where necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €15.50-€16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Rathleek, County Meath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Application question(s):

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills, knowledge of Animal Welfare

Education:

  • Junior Certificate (required)

Experience:

  • dog/animal handling: 1 year (required)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • A Driving Licence (required)

  • Ireland (required)

Location:
