Churchfield Home Services is seeking a Building Surveyor to join our retrofit delivery team across Dublin and surrounding areas, supporting the design and delivery of high-quality home energy upgrades.

This role is central to the success of our retrofit projects. You’ll carry out detailed technical surveys of domestic dwellings, capturing accurate data that underpins retrofit design, energy modelling, and installation planning.

You’ll work independently on site, using structured digital systems and clear standards to ensure every survey is accurate, compliant, and ready for delivery — helping homeowners achieve safer, warmer, and more energy-efficient homes.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out detailed technical site surveys and laser measurements of domestic properties
  • Record building dimensions, construction types, insulation levels, and existing systems
  • Capture clear photographic evidence of all retrofit-relevant areas
  • Complete and upload survey data accurately using CHS Systems
  • Ensure surveys comply with NSAI S.R. 54:2014, SEAI standards, and CHS procedures
  • Identify access constraints, hazards, or technical risks and escalate as required
  • Liaise with Retrofit Advisors to clarify findings
  • Support re-surveys or pre-installation verification where needed
  • Maintain survey equipment and report any defects promptly

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in building surveying, construction, retrofit assessment, or technical property inspection
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods (traditional, cavity wall, timber frame, etc.)
  • Ability to accurately measure, interpret, and document building fabric and existing systems
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data capture
  • Competent using digital tools and structured data systems
  • Strong written communication skills for clear technical recording
  • Safety-conscious and comfortable working in occupied domestic properties
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certification
  • Full, clean Category B driving licence
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Pay & Benefits

  • €35,000–€45,000 per annum, depending on experience (weekly pay)
  • Company vehicle & expenses provided
  • Annual Leave: 20 days + 10 public holidays
  • Meal Allowance: €5/day (revenue-compliant)
  • Sick, Maternity & Paternity Pay, Bereavement Leave
  • Employee referral bonus
  • Bike to Work Scheme
  • Service recognition awards
  • Annual voucher scheme (up to €1,000 based on service and performance)
  • Team Events
