Join Our Opening Security Team – Door Staff Wanted at The Fox & Hounds

The newly redeveloped Fox & Hounds is preparing to launch in Ballyvolane, Cork, and we’re hiring professional, licensed Door Staff to help us deliver a safe, welcoming, and well-managed experience for our over-21s guests.

This is a high-profile opportunity to work in one of Cork’s most exciting new bar venues, with a strong focus on customer care, professionalism, and community standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage customer entry to ensure age and behaviour policies are upheld (Over 21s only)
• Check IDs and maintain accurate headcounts and capacity limits
• Manage queues and ensure smooth entry and exit flow
• De-escalate situations calmly and professionally
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence throughout the evening
• Work closely with management and bar staff to ensure guest safety and venue standards
• Complete incident reports and logbooks as required
• Uphold licensing laws and venue regulations at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Valid PSA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
• Previous door or event security experience strongly preferred
• Calm, confident, and courteous under pressure
• Strong communication and people skills
• Physically fit and alert
• Flexible availability, especially evenings and weekends
• A customer-first approach to venue safety and behaviour management
