The McHenry County Division of Transportation has an opening for a Maintenance Worker. This position will perform a variety of maintenance related to the preservation and upkeep of County highways, bridges, drainage structures and other highway features, and DOT facilities. This position performs semi-skilled work in operating tools and highway maintenance. This position will also perform essential snow and ice control operations. All duties are performed in accordance with the county safety code and established safe work practices.
Starting Salary: $26.00/hour This is a union position under Local 150. Hourly wage is not negotiable.
Fall/Winter Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Schedule starts September 16, 2024
Summer Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
