Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. Your primary focus will be on delivering freight efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring cargo integrity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics environment where your driving skills make a direct impact.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, maintaining cargo safety and security.
• Navigate using GPS systems to follow designated routes and optimize delivery schedules.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when handling dangerous goods.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Manage documentation such as delivery logs, load manifests, and inspection reports accurately.
• Load & unload cargo efficiently on various types of trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment as required.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery and route driving.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols.
• Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and execution.
• Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely.
• Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures for different cargo types including dangerous goods.
• Excellent driving record with a commitment to safe driving practices in accordance with DOT regulations.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
