Mobile Hearing Technician - Driver
Love the Open Road? Make Every Mile Matter.
Workplace Medical Corp. is seeking an independent, self-motivated professional who thrives behind the wheel and wants to make a real impact on workplace safety across the region.
Why This Role is Different
Forget the cubicle. Your office is a state-of-the-art mobile hearing unit, and your daily commute takes you to new places, new faces, and new challenges. As our Mobile Hearing Technician, you'll be the face of workplace health and safety—driving to client sites, conducting critical hearing tests for workers exposed to hazardous noise, and operating independently with the freedom that comes from being your own boss on the road.
This isn't just driving. This isn't just healthcare. It's both—and that's what makes it special.
What Your Day Looks Like
- Hit the Road Early: Start your day behind the wheel, heading to industrial sites, construction zones, and manufacturing facilities across the region
- Make a Health Impact: Conduct professional hearing assessments that protect workers' long-term health and safety
- Be the Expert: Operate your mobile hearing unit with confidence and precision
- Build Relationships: Connect with clients, answer questions, and be the trusted professional they rely on
- Own Your Schedule: Manage your route, coordinate appointments, and handle administrative tasks independently
- Travel & Explore: Overnight trips, early mornings, and varied locations keep every week interesting
We're Looking For Someone Who...
✓ Loves driving and has at least 1 year of straight truck/bus experience
✓ Works well independently without constant supervision
✓ Enjoys meeting new people while being comfortable spending time alone
✓ Adapts easily to changing schedules and locations
✓ Takes pride in professionalism and represents our company with excellence
✓ Thrives on variety rather than routine
Must-Haves
- Valid Class G Driver's License with a clean driving record
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Strong computer skills for reporting and scheduling
- Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal)
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time
- Secondary school education (preferred)
You'll Stand Out If You Have
- Experience driving medium-sized trucks (5-ton straight truck or 22 ft truck) or school buses
- Background in administration or management
- Proven track record in customer relations
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
What We Offer You
Full Training & Certification: We'll train you to become a certified audiometric technician—no prior healthcare experience needed! Our comprehensive onboarding includes:
- Hands-on training with our mobile unit
- One-on-one education and mentorship
- Detailed instruction on conducting hearing assessments
- Ongoing support as you grow in the role
Competitive Compensation: From $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend opportunities as needed
The Freedom Factor: Work independently, manage your own day, and enjoy the autonomy that comes with being a trusted professional on the road
