We are looking for a Supervisor to join our team at Swingyard Driving Range at Elmgreen Golf Centre, Dublin 15. Our facility features a licensed cafe with outdoor seating, in-bay dining, and advanced technology for tracking golf ball metrics in real time. We also offer a variety of gaming options for all ages.
Job Overview:
As a Swingyard Supervisor , you will be responsible for delivering an excellent entertainment experience. This role involves hands-on operational tasks, customer service, F&B and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. You will be responsible overseeing staff roles and ensuring the roles are carried out with the brand and vision of Swingyard.
Key Responsibilities:
Co-ordinating Staff
- Ensure staff roles are being carried accordingly
- Ensure the Swingyard customer journey is being implemented by all staff
- Ensure staff daily and weekly checklists are being completed to a high standard
- Ensure staff arrive to work on time and in uniform
- Develop train and coach staff members to the 4 star standards required for Swingyard
- Ensure our staffing resources on the ground are maximised and co-ordinated affectively
- Schedule staff shifts and rosters in the absence of the manager
Customer Service Journey:
- Greet customers, capture their details on arrival
- Escort customers to their bays log them in and explain the technology
- Ask all customers if they would like to order food
- Check back with the customer 10 minutes after arrival, answer any questions they may have and confirm if they want to order F&B.
- Refill bays with golf balls before the client runs out
- Stay present on the bays to help with any queries and manage the turnover of bookings
- Monitor customer activities, offering assistance and maintaining a friendly atmosphere.
- Handle customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Daily Operations
- Open and close the driving range facility as per operating hours.
- Set up and arrange golf balls, tees, and other necessary equipment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the range area.
- Assist with golf ball collections
- Follow company Standard operating procedures
F&B Operations
- Oversee quality and efficient food and beverage service to driving range customers.
- To maintain food standards and cleanliness according procedures
- To work in a clean and tidy environment
- To assist in food preparation
- Monitor/Manage F&B stock orders
Equipment Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect and maintain golf ball dispensers/washers and other range equipment.
- Report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety regulations and guidelines for customers and staff.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the facility and equipment.
- Coordinate with management to address and resolve safety concerns.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage the inventory of golf balls, tees, and other supplies.
- Replenish supplies as needed and keep accurate records.
- Assist with inventory audits and reporting.
Cash Handling:
- Process customer payments accurately and provide receipts.
- Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Reconcile YGB bookings every morning for the day previous
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the Manager.
Requirements
- 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, leisure, or customer service management.
- Proven track record in supervising staff and coordinating daily operations.
- Experience in F&B service including stock management, hygiene standards, and customer service delivery.
- Strong background in delivering high-quality customer journeys in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience handling cash, processing bookings, and reconciling tills.
- Technical competence in using booking systems, POS, and customer service platforms.
