Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients’ substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral management techniques
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health support, and relapse prevention
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies
• Provide psychoeducation on substance use disorders in individual sessions and in group sessions.
• Recommended Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Valid certification or licensure as an addiction counselor or clinical counselor (e.g., CADC, LCSW)
• Proven experience in behavioral health settings with a focus on substance use disorder treatment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments effectively
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and active listening skills

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
