Job Summary
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Dublin Lead Food Tour Guide located in the Dublin Metropolitan Area. The Lead Food Tour Guide will be responsible for leading guided culinary tours, offering engaging and informative experiences for guests. Daily tasks include conducting tours, sharing historical and cultural insights, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing sales of tour-related items. The guide will provide excellent customer service and ensure all tours run smoothly and effectively.
The OM is responsible for all aspects of operations in the city. This includes, but is not limited to day-to-day management of guides, guest satisfaction, tour development, performance and availability of products offered and overall growth strategy of the city.
The OM is in charge not only of keeping operations running and achieving the highest level of guest satisfaction, but also for the overall growth and profitability of the city. This also means building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including identifying and partnering with local stakeholders and third parties which may help us increase sales and strengthen the Eating Europe brand locally.
The OM is the local ambassador for the Eating Europe brand.
Qualifications
- Experience in Guided Tours and a strong interest in history
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
- Sales skills and ability to enhance guest experiences through upselling tour-related items
- Passion for food culture and culinary experiences
- Fluency in English; knowledge of multiple languages is a plus
- Local knowledge of Dublin and its culinary scene
- Ability to engage and entertain diverse groups of people
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee operations of the city
- Once the city is up and running, guide the majority of the tours.
- Guide management (hiring, training, scheduling, and general management of guides)
- Vendor management - establish strong and good working relationships with all local vendors
- Product development - identify new product opportunities, identifying their potential and developing these in collaboration with Product Innovation
- Ensure full compliance with Eating Europe operating procedures, policies, service standards and values at all times
- Handling complaints and oversee service recovery procedures
- Manage the on-going profitability of the city, ensuring that revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
- Handle complaints or objections
