Role Overview

The Sports Dome Supervisor is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the facility during their shift on weekends, with a strong focus on customer experience, staff supervision, kids’ parties, and facility standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident leading a young team in a fast-paced sports and leisure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Facility

  • Open and/or close the facility in line with procedures
  • Ensure football pitches, padel courts, party pods, and reception areas are clean, safe, and presentable
  • Monitor bookings, schedules, and court usage throughout the shift
  • Deal with customer queries, complaints, and on-the-spot issues calmly and professionally
  • Liaise with maintenance where issues arise (lighting, nets, cleanliness, equipment)

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise and support on-duty staff (reception, referees, party hosts)
  • Allocate tasks clearly and ensure duties are completed correctly
  • Step in where required during busy periods
  • Manage staff breaks and ensure appropriate cover at all times
  • Address minor performance or conduct issues and escalate when needed

Kids’ Parties & Events

  • Oversee kids’ football and padel parties
  • Ensure referees and party hosts are briefed and ready on time
  • Check party schedules, numbers, and any special requests
  • Be the main point of contact for parents during parties
  • Resolve party-related issues quickly to ensure a positive experience

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Carry out basic safety checks during the shift
  • Ensure accident/incident reports are completed when required
  • Enforce facility rules (footwear, behaviour, pitch use, etc.)

Cash Handling & Systems

  • Use booking and POS systems confidently
  • Handle payments, refunds, and account top-ups correctly
  • Ensure end-of-shift handover notes are completed clearly

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in supervisory, leisure, hospitality, or sports facility roles
  • Confident dealing with customers, including parents and children
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Organised, reliable, and able to multitask under pressure
  • Comfortable managing younger staff members
  • Interest in sport is a strong advantage (football/padel)
