Duty Manager – Zozimus Bar, Dublin

We’re looking for a strong, switched-on Duty Manager to take charge of the floor at Zozimus Bar, one of Dublin’s most iconic cocktail bars.

This isn’t a back-office role. This is about running the show while we’re open — leading the team, keeping standards tight, and making sure the place runs smooth, safe, and profitable from first pour to last call.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during service — set the pace, keep standards high, and make sure everyone’s in line.
• Manage opening and closing procedures: daily checklists, tills, stock control, security checks, cash-ups, and lock-ups.
• Be the point of contact for all operational issues while on duty — from customer service to staff discipline to quick problem-solving when things go sideways.
• Maintain the vibe: music, cleanliness, table turns, and service flow — nothing escapes your eye.
• Work closely with the General Manager and Owners to deliver a consistent guest experience and protect the brand.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Jump in wherever needed — you’re a hands-on operator, not a clipboard manager.

Who You Are

• Proven experience in a busy late-night bar or restaurant in a supervisory or duty management role.
• Confident, assertive, and calm under pressure — you can handle busy weekends, demanding guests, and staff who need keeping in line.
• Strong communicator and natural leader with a no-nonsense, team-first attitude.
• Organised, reliable, and committed — you take pride in the place looking sharp and running right.
• Smart appearance, great energy, and genuine love for hospitality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €38,000.00 per year
