Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the educational and developmental needs of young children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in a classroom setting, and possess a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all learners, including those with disabilities.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the developmental stages of children.
- Provide care and supervision to children during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children’s learning through play-based activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and creativity while guiding them through challenges.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom or caregiving setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all children feel valued and supported.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
