Tiny Hoppers Barrie is currently hiring an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) for permanent Infant Room break coverage (11:30 AM – 2:30 PM), with the flexibility to cover additional shifts before or after those hours as needed.

Position Details:

• Job Type: Permanent, part-time
• Schedule: Monday to Friday; 3–8 hour shifts; permanent 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM coverage required
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) in caring for and supervising infants (12 - 18 months of age)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
• Ensure compliance with the Ministry of Education and Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit regulations
• Support children’s daily routines, activities, and outdoor play
• Greet and communicate positively with children, guardians, and staff
• Complete daily documentation and reports as required
• Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development sessions
• Participate in centre-wide special events

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• At least 1 year of experience with young children aged 6 months to 4 years, or currently enrolled in a related university/college program
• Up-to-date immunizations (Tetanus and MMR required)
• Reliable transportation and availability to be on call on certain days
