Overview

Station Road is looking for a fun, energetic, and creative teacher to join our team.

We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator who has had at least three years experience working with children under the age of 5 years.

This position will involve working in our Preschool age room Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. On a four week rotation with other staff.

Staff will be eligible to participate in the company benefit plan after successfully completing a 3 month probationary period. This plan is partially funded by the company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, lead and engage in activities with the children throughout the day in each developmental area such as; Creative expression, language and literacy, Math and Science, Circle Time etc.
• Role Model and assist children with safe hygiene practices.
• Changing Diapers/Pull ups and dirty clothing as needed.
• Monitoring children during the day to ensure their safety at all times.
• Working collaboratively with all staff members.
• Provide guidance and assistance to other staff members.
• Ensure the classroom, playground, etc are kept clean and tidy to keep a safe and sanitary environment for children, families and staff by following and implementing a cleaning schedule.
• Arriving on time each day for shifts, and having flexibility to stay later on occasion if needed.

Qualifications:

• 3 year of Childcare experience is an asset.
• Degree in Early Childhood education or Equivalent
• WHMIS, First Aid and CPR required
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 5 months)
• Positive, caring and compassionate attitude
• Ability to help others
• Safety conscious with keen observational skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanente

Pay: $24.00-$25.08 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Erin, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
