Job Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team to work with children in our programs with disabilities or who may require additional support. These positions are specifically to enhance our ratios and provide one on one or small group support for children to be able to fully participate in our programs, be included in activities, and reach all their developmental goals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with disabilities or additional needs, and will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment for young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, they will play a crucial role in the development and learning of children, supporting them with creativity and enthusiasm through play-based learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Provide support to children who have an Enhanced Accessibility grant and to the group they are a part of.
- Participate in the creation of Personal Program Plans, attend interdisciplinary meetings, and use observation and assessment tools to ensure goals are being met.
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and fun classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's growth.
- Help to guide the behaviour of young children and support them in developing self-confidence and self-regulation skills.
- Maintain organized classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive curriculum that meets diverse needs.
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working with children with disabilities or additional needs.
- Autism Spectrum Disorder Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or prior professional development.
- Fluency in ASL communication.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and resources effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
- An ability to both follow routines and be flexible when necessary.
- An ability to care for and maintain a classroom environment that promotes learning through play.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and best practices

Pay: $21.41-$27.85 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
