Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators and Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join our vibrant educational team. We are also seeking someone that has OSC/School age experience. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for young children. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while working in a collaborative and supportive setting. Candidates with experience in early childhood education, childcare, or special education are encouraged to apply.

Wage ranges from $22/hr to $24/hr, plus $6/ WEP for licensed ECE's

Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and activities using computer systems
  • Assist with daily classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, and transitions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and classroom strategies
  • Support the integration of bilingual or multilingual activities when applicable
  • Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices

Skills

  • Proficiency in English
  • Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; classroom experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development best practices
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation
  • Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and record keeping systems
  • Time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Leadership qualities for guiding children’s learning experiences and supporting team collaboration
  • Writing skills for documenting observations and preparing reports
  • Experience with OSC/school aged children is an asset.
  • Class 4 Drivers License or a willingness to obtain one, is an asset.
