Early Years Educator (Level 6+) – Full-Time

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 6 qualification (or higher) in Early Childhood Care and Education.
• Experience in an early years setting is essential.
• Experience supporting children with additional needs and implementing inclusive practices.
• Strong working knowledge of Síolta and Aistear.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.
• Passionate, reliable, caring, and committed to providing the highest standards of care and education.

Desirable

• BA (Honours) in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• Experience working within the ECCE Programme.
• Experience in afterschool care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and education in accordance with the Early Years Frameworks, Síolta and Aistear.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging learning experiences that support each child's development.
• Promote an inclusive environment that values diversity and supports children with additional needs.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Observe, assess, and document children's learning and development.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment.
• Work collaboratively with the team while demonstrating initiative and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
