  • Being accountable for the daily routines and curriculum expectations of the classroom, ensuring that the classroom is operating in accordance with Coppens Academy and provincial licensing standards.
  • Being responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parents.
  • Sparking imagination, build self-esteem and help children discover new things each day.
  • Promoting the positive image of the company and play a major role in making the company a provider of choice in educational programming for the communities that we service.
  • Working alongside and reporting to the Centre Supervisor
  • Create and oversee the theme-based weekly curriculum including Math, Science, Language, and Art Lessons
  • Help maintain attendance, children records, and follow established budgets.

Job Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements, including:

  • Must have an minimum 2-years experience working in a licensed childcare centre or be an Early Childhood Educator registered in good standings with the College of Early Childhood Educators, have a Child and Youth Care Diploma or be licensed with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Must have valid CPIC and first aid/CPR
  • Up to date immunizations
  • A desire to positively impact the lives of children and families.
  • The ability to demonstrate an understanding of all current provincial policies and regulations.
  • Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skill.
  • Experience creating educational lesson plans.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.20-$25.86 per hour

Work Location: In person
