We are seeking both an ECA and a House Keeping/Cook staff, to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age-appropriate activities for children. When the permanent cook is absent you will be responsible to prepare, and cook all meals for the centre.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Follow schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
• Communicate with parents about their child’s growth and progress
• Maintain a health and safety environment.
• Prepare all served food
• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders for allergy and restrictions.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean and maintain kitchen, equipment, utensils, and appliances

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in cooking, or other related fields
• Food handling certified
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
• Strong attention to details.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• VSC -Vulnerable Sector Check
• Up-to-date food handlers’ certificate
• CPR & First Aid Training
• Complete Medical

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
