Your day as an Economist/Economic Analyst

We are recruiting Economist/Economic Analyst roles for the following teams:

Revenue Forecasting and Analysis - please click here to access the role description

You will analyse and forecast NSW Government revenue to support the Budget and fiscal planning. Using strong quantitative skills, you will maintain and improve revenue models, analyse complex data, and deliver clear, timely insights to support sound financial decision‑making.

State Revenue Policy - Please click here to access the role description
You will research and analyse NSW tax and revenue policy, providing clear, evidence‑based advice to support government decision‑making and reform. The role involves complex policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and preparing briefings and advice on revenue measures and strategic initiatives.

You will be joining our Economic Strategy and Productivity Group and will be working within the Revenue Division. Read more about your future Group and Division.

Achieve success as an Economist/Economic Analyst

You will be successful in this role if you are:

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
Strong analytical and critical thinking capability
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with incomplete or competing information
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Eligibility
