Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Education Counselor to join the BSL Institute of Nursing. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for prospective students and their families, providing expert guidance on our nursing programs, admission processes, and career pathways. You will play a crucial role in driving student enrollment by converting inquiries into successful admissions and upholding the professional image of our institute.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Student Counseling & Guidance:
- Handle Inquiries: Professionally manage all incoming inquiries via phone calls, emails, online queries, and walk-ins.
- Provide Program Information: Offer detailed and accurate information about our various nursing programs (e.g., GNM, Paramedical), curriculum, fee structure, and eligibility criteria.
- Career Counseling: Counsel students and parents effectively regarding career opportunities and growth prospects in the nursing profession.
- Needs Assessment: Understand the students' academic background, interests, and career goals to recommend the most suitable program for them.
Admissions Process Management:
- Application Assistance: Guide students through the entire application and admission process, ensuring all required documents are submitted correctly and on time.
- Eligibility Verification: Conduct initial screening of applications to verify that candidates meet the eligibility requirements.
- Coordination: Liaise with the admissions department and academic faculty to ensure a smooth admission process for students.
- Financial Guidance: Explain the fee structure, payment schedules, and any available scholarship or education loan options.
Lead Management & Conversion:
- Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of all prospective student inquiries using CRM software.
- Systematic Follow-up: Proactively follow up with potential candidates through calls, emails, and messages to nurture leads and encourage enrollment.
- Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly student admission targets.
Outreach & Promotional Activities:
- Represent the Institute: Act as a brand ambassador for BSL Institute of Nursing during promotional events.
- Participate in Events: Attend education fairs, seminars, and career counseling sessions in schools and other institutions to generate new leads.
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective students, parents, and educational consultants.
Reporting & Administration:
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of student interactions, counseling sessions, and admission statuses.
- Prepare Reports: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on lead generation, conversion rates, and admission figures for the management.
- Provide Feedback: Share valuable feedback from students and parents with the management team to help improve our programs and processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as an Education Counselor or in a similar role within an educational institute.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hindi.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong counseling, persuasion, and relationship-building abilities.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel) and CRM software for lead management.
- Mindset: Must be target-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Attributes
- Prior experience in a nursing, medical, or paramedical institute will be a significant advantage.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards students and their concerns.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
