- Identify students in need of support sourced from a variety of information.
- Actively support the implementation of the Senior Secondary Teaching, Learning and Wellbeing Framework and the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0
- Support students in the classroom by working one-to-one with students or in small groups to assist students to engage with the content and reinforce and clarify lessons.
- Support students with emotional or behavioural challenges to develop their social and emotional skills.
- Assist the teachers with supervision, when required, by following standardised practices and/or methods on adequate supervision.
- Under the advice and direction of the Education Manager, ensure child safety concerns are reported within the required timeframe to designated “Child safety reporting Officer” and child safe lead. Document Appropriately.
ABOUT YOU
You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in providing learning support to a diverse range of young people, including those experiencing neurodiversity .
Qualifications required for the role
- A relevant qualification at post-secondary level, including education support, youth work and/or social work or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of ongoing professional development (desirable).
