The Education and Training Team, housed within the Director’s Department, is responsible of coordinating the training and education activities, conduct educational research and develop opportunities for collaboration with other leading High Performance Computing (HPC) and Supercomputing centers as well as world class universities in the areas of education, training and mobility. The unit contributes to regional projects national awards (Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence), and European projects (EUMaster4HPC, EuroCC2, CASTIEL2, EVITA).
We are looking for two Training Officers to provide administrative support to the Education and Training Team of BSC.
The main responsibility of the position will be to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the education and training events, and provide administrative support for various international programs and projects in which the department is involved.
- Collaborate in a dynamic team towards achieving the High Performance Computing education and training goals of multiple local, national and international projects
- Prepare and support courses, meetings, training events for different audiences and other activities of Education & Training unit
- Contribute constructively with your feedback to streamline, optimise and improve E&T unit policies, procedures and documentation
- Manage documents, phone calls and correspondence (reports, e-mail, letters, packages etc.) with students, participants, lecturers and administration
- Manage in-house training facilities
- Market available training opportunities (web and others), including design improvements to training materials such as flyers, certificates, merchandise and more
- Provide administrative support in the preparation of international project proposals related to Education & Training of High Performance Computing knowledge, skills and competences
- Provide on-site support for training events, seminars, and activities by coordinating WFH days with the team to ensure full coverage of the department's availability
- Education
- Bachelor or Certificate of Higher Education (CFGS) within the field of Business Administration or related field
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- 2 -3 years of experience in administration roles
- Excellent skills in Microsoft office (Advanced level in Word and Excel)
- Survey administration and reporting skills
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- High level of Spanish, oral and written.
- Public System knowledge or previous experience in research centers will be a plus.

- An organized, methodical person with an interest in administrative and support tasks is required for this position.

- The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona
