Educational Excellence Clerical Assistant

General Purpose

This is an internal opening. Only Davis Tech Employees will be considered.

Manages the Educational Excellence course changes queue to ensure accreditation compliance in course and syllabus updates. Ensures student information system has accurate information regarding programs, course descriptions, modules, books, and materials. Verifies that curriculum development and implementation comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Provides clerical support to the Educational Excellence department. Utilizes office and eLearning software to produce, manage, and maintain instructional resources, as needed. Provides support to department personnel, instructors, and end-users of instructional projects, curriculum, and technology-based instruction.

Job Focus

  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all requests that come through the Educational Excellence eForm process.
  • Assist faculty with the development of program documentation including the program orientation, curriculum, work-based learning, web information, and program applications.
  • Support faculty in the development of effective assessments that effectively and accurately measure learning outcomes.
  • Provide timely and thorough troubleshooting and support of technical learning resources to faculty and staff.
  • Accurately enter modules and course material in the Student Information System.
  • Provide LMS management support with duties such as creating faculty accounts and managing courses.
  • Work efficiently and accurately on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines, completing projects on schedule.
  • Ensure program materials are up to date by entering or discontinuing textbooks in student management system.
  • Perform faculty requested syllabus and module updates and ensure print center receives most current versions of all syllabi.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience or equivalent combination of technical training or other education and proven experience.
  • Writing, editing, technical troubleshooting, project management, and organizational skills with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy required.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships, communicate clearly, and continuously provide quality service and process improvements to support the College’s mission and strategic vision
  • Capacity to provide a high level of customer service while solving problems and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Capable of working independently and managing complex assignments with a high degree of accuracy to ensure compliance with standards of accreditation.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Prior experience with accrediting body requirements and documentation.
  • Prior experience working with curriculum and course syllabi.
  • Prior experience using an LMS system (preferably Canvas) and/or campus student information systems.
