Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) System, is conducting a search for a full-time Educational Planner.

Responsibilities include developing a structured academic plan for assigned students that include career and transfer-driven paths to achieving academic success and completion. This position has a focus of duties that includes adult learners and supporting our College in Prison program. The successful candidate will be passionate about assisting students in achieving their educational goals and will understand the barriers and challenges facing students in higher education, particularly the community college setting. The candidate will be familiar with academic advising, transfer, and career planning. The primary mission is to provide academic planning and transfer guidance to assigned students. The Educational Planner will work with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the current Strategic Plan.

This position is funded by the New York State SUNY Reconnect Grant.

Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of appropriate professional experience.

Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

Preferred: Experience in counseling, college admissions, advising, or student financial aid is highly desirable.

Advertised Salary: $47,589 - $52,347/yr. for well-qualified individuals. Salary is determined based upon experience and education in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement as well as internal equity.
