We're hiring a Head of EHS to lead health, safety and environmental performance across our Dublin manufacturing sites and our Nottingham facility. You'll lead a team of 4, cover 550+ employees, and report to our Factory Development and Production Directors. This role suits an experienced Health and Safety Manager from manufacturing, construction or engineering who has worked under Irish health and safety legislation and is ready to lead the function.

• Based in Clondalkin and Cherry Orchard, Dublin. This is a fully on-site as a Permanent, full-time contract.You must already have the right to live and work in Ireland. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship or support employment permit applications.
• This is a legislation-led role. You'll need proven, hands-on experience applying the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and handling engagement with the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) in Ireland.
• The role is fully on-site in Dublin (Mon–Thu 07:30–16:30, Fri 07:30–13:00, 37 hours per week), with travel to Nottingham, UK, day trip travel roughly once every one to two months.

About the role

This is a people leadership role first. We want someone who is as credible on the shop floor as in the boardroom, and who knows that lasting safety culture comes from trust, visibility and engagement, not policy alone. You'll spend real time walking the lines and supporting your team, while also setting long-term direction and representing EHS within the Legrand Group.

What you'll do

• Own and deliver an 18-month EHS improvement plan with measurable targets and KPIs
• Act as the senior EHS authority for all sites, managing incidents, HSA notifications and inspections in Ireland and RIDDOR reporting to the HSE in the UK
• Keep policies and practice up to date with changes in Irish legislation
• Build a safety culture where line managers and operatives own risk, through safety walks, behavioural safety engagement and a just, learning-focused approach to incidents
• Lead, coach and develop the EHS team and Safety Committee
• Write and maintain SOPs, risk assessment templates and incident investigation processes (root cause analysis, CAPA)
• Design and deliver training, from inductions and toolbox talks to manager capability development
• Oversee the permit to work system, contractor safety, method statements, safety files and equipment inspections (MEWPs, teleporters, harnesses, fire equipment)
• Lead EHS input into factory development and capital projects, including HAZOP reviews, construction phase plans and working with PSDPs and PSCSs
• Act as the main contact for Legrand Group EHS reporting and global EHS forums

What you'll bring

Essential

• 5+ years' EHS experience in manufacturing, construction, electrical or engineering environments
• 2+ years as an EHS Manager or head of function with multi-site responsibility
• Proven experience applying the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the General Application Regulations 2007 and the Construction Regulations 2013
• Direct experience managing HSA inspections, notifications and correspondence
• A track record of leading safety culture change and building EHS ownership among line managers
• Experience producing and overseeing risk assessments, method statements and safety files
• Experience of group or corporate EHS reporting in a multinational
• A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent (for example, an engineering or science degree with a NEBOSH National Diploma or Higher Diploma in OHS)
• A full driving licence valid in Ireland and your own transport

Desirable

• Experience in low-voltage switchgear or electrical manufacturing
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 experience
• Experience supporting factory expansion or major capital projects

Pay: €65,000.00-€75,000.00 per year
