ADSS is currently recruiting Electrical Apprentices to join our team in the Limerick area.

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals at different stages of their electrical apprenticeship, including candidates with no previous experience who are interested in starting a career in the electrical industry.

The successful candidates will gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside experienced electricians and technicians across a range of electrical and electronic security projects, including CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.

These are site-based roles involving travel to various customer locations. Company transport will be provided.

Positions Available

1st Year Electrical Apprentice – No Experience Required

• No previous electrical or construction experience necessary.
• Genuine interest in starting an electrical apprenticeship.
• Willingness to learn and develop practical skills.
• Reliable, punctual and motivated.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice

• Currently undertaking a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• Previous practical experience in electrical installations.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Willingness to develop skills in electronic security systems.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with electrical installations, maintenance and repairs.
• Installation and maintenance of CCTV systems.
• Installation and maintenance of intruder alarm systems.
• Installation and maintenance of access control systems.
• Assisting with electrical testing and fault finding.
• Supporting service and maintenance works.
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Completing work to a high standard under appropriate supervision.
• Travelling to customer sites as required.

Requirements

• Strong interest in developing a career in the electrical industry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Desirable

• Safe Pass certification.
• Manual Handling certification.
• Full driving licence.
• Previous electrical or electronic security experience (for 2nd/3rd year applicants).
