Electrical Shift Technician

Location: Dublin 8

Duration: Permanent

Shift Role: 4 on, 4 off

Overview of the Role:

The Technician will work as part of the Veolia Operations & Maintenance team in providing Utilities in support of the client's business Tasks include, but are not limited to Plant rounds; preventative maintenance, and plant repairs.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Rounds & readings of utilities systems (Water treatment; Waste Water neutralisation; Carbon Dioxide recovery, Nitrogen generation, Compressed air and refrigeration systems

• Shift position 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off. 2 thirds days 1 third nights

• Review spare parts requirements

• Complete on-site and vendor training

• Operation of site utilities in support of projects & commissioning

• Assist in definition of site safety systems

• Completion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelines

• Delivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements

• Keep training current in line with client’s requirements, i.e. SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures),.

• All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines

Required Skills for the Role:

• Electrical engineering degree or diploma desirable

• 5 years industrial experience in a similar role

• Electrical/ Instrumentation Senior Trade, City & Guilds or equivalent

• Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical

• All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines
