Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Coordination
· Supervise and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
· Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
· Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards.
· Report project progress to the Site/Project Manager.
Health, Safety & Compliance
· Ensure strict compliance with health & safety policies and statutory regulations.
· Carry out toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments.
· Ensure electrical installations comply with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
Project Support & Delivery
· Assist in planning and organising site activities and resources.
· Support testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems.
· Identify and resolve on-site technical or operational issues.
· Record site variations and provide feedback for project planning.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison
· Work closely with site managers, engineers, and clients.
· Attend site meetings when required and provide updates.
· Represent the company professionally at all times.
Team Leadership & Development
· Provide guidance and support to electricians and apprentices.
· Ensure proper training, mentoring, and development of junior staff.
· Promote a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and quality.
Skills & Qualifications
· Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Senior Electrician.
· Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
· Good organisational and time management skills.
Qualifications:
· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
· ECS/CSCS card.
· SSSTS/SMSTS certification (advantageous).
· Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent, desirable).
· First Aid certification (preferred).
