Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Supervision
· Manage and oversee electrical works on site from inception to completion.
· Supervise electricians, subcontractors, and site operatives to ensure work is carried out effectively.
· Plan daily workloads and ensure resources (labour, materials, and equipment) are available.
· Carry out site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Health, Safety & Compliance
· Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
· Conduct toolbox talks, site inductions, and risk assessments.
· Ensure electrical works meet statutory regulations and BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
Project Delivery & Coordination
· Work closely with project managers, engineers, and main contractors to deliver projects on time.
· Track progress against programme and provide regular site reports.
· Resolve technical and site issues quickly and effectively.
· Assist with testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems.
Client & Stakeholder Liaison
· Act as the main on-site point of contact for clients and consultants.
· Attend site meetings and represent the company professionally.
· Maintain strong relationships to support repeat business opportunities.
Commercial & Resource Control
· Manage site budgets and monitor material usage.
· Record variations and site instructions accurately.
· Coordinate procurement and deliveries of electrical materials.
Skills & Qualifications
· Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or similar supervisory role.
· Strong knowledge of electrical installations, construction practices, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple site activities and teams under pressure.
· Good IT skills (MS Office, project management software).
Qualifications:
· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
· ECS/CSCS card.
· SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
· 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
· First Aid at Work (advantageous).
