Electrician

Position Title: Electrical Assembler

Reports To: Electrical Team Leader

Location: Fermoy, Cork, Ireland

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

ABEC's products include process and equipment engineering/consulting services, comprehensive site services, bioreactors and fermenters, filtration and chromatography systems, prep and hold systems, and cleaning/sterilisation systems.


Position Summary:

As an ABEC Electrical Assembler, you will apply electrical theory and related knowledge to testing, building and modifying various types of electrical equipment and components by reading and interpreting drawings.


Responsibilities:

O Provide guidance/direction to other electrical assemblers.

O Provide leadership in achieving company goals.

O Conduct administrative functions as required.

O Participate in Project Team meetings.

O Work from plans, sketches, blueprints, work orders or other instructions; interpret electrical plans and specifications; check for compliance with codes.

O Clean, test, troubleshoot and repair high voltage equipment, as necessary.

O Receive components and confirm against drawing and/or list of materials or quality standards.

O Solder and or fit/or assemble components.

O Fabricate specialty parts.

O Recommend improvements.

O Follows all safety rules and policies.

O Inspect fabrications for quality, safety and operation as requested.

O Audit equipment against drawings as requested.

O Prepare equipment for shipment.

O Fabricate specialty parts.

O Execute other tasks as assigned.

O Ability to travel when required.


Qualifications:

O Electrical Senior Trade Certificate (Level 6 - Ireland) or equivalent.

O Highly skilled electrical and instrumentation disciplines with some knowledge of mechanical.

O Excellent analytical and communication skills.

O Experience in Electrical systems.

O Typical work is in a manufacturing environment or customer's site.
