Job Title

Electrician (Note: Shift Role Possible)

Job Purpose

To perform electrical maintenance work with a strong focus towards PLC (fault finding & modifications)

Key Responsibilities

• Place safety as the highest priority in all aspects
• Utilise skills and techniques to solve electrical maintenance problems
• Assist in maintaining automation systems across entire site, which include:

* PLC (Siemens, TI, Rockwell, Mitsubishi)
* HMI (Siemens, Rockwell, Lauer)
* VSD (Siemens,ABB,Vacon,Reliance)

• Provide out-of-hours electrical support to site when scheduled.
• Use effectively Continuous Improvement tools ie. WCM, Quick Kaizens, EWO’s, FMEA.
• Complete small-to-medium electrical projects involving both hardware & software.
• Gain a thorough understanding of the production process (biased towards the electrical, instrumentation and PLC systems used).
• Share skills & knowledge with other personnel, especially craftsmen & operators.
• Complete routine electrical maintenance tasks ie repair breakdowns, preventive maintenance & modifications.
• Maintain electrical documentation and records ie drawings, manuals, software back-ups.
• Liaise with all levels of the organisation and outside service providers.
• Actively participate in WCM projects as assigned to the team.
• Flexibility to cover shifts and weekend work
• Flexibility to cover the mine
• Perform such other duties appropriate to the position, as may be assigned from time to time. The above list is not exhaustive and other duties may be required which fall within the general goal of the job.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications required to fulfil the role

• Minimum time served apprenticeship
• Electrical 3rd level qualification desirable
• Computer literate

Specific work experience required to fulfil the role

• Proven experience working in a similar role
• Good communication skills.
• Effective time manager.
• Experience supporting PLC, SCADA and HMI systems in a manufacturing background.
• Process driven and attention to detail.
• Proven Project electrical engineering skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
